Regal Theatre, Simi Valley, CA

Day Construction’s third project for Regal Cinema Group, construction of this 60,000 square foot theatre with 16 movie screens was completed within 180 days.

To remain on schedule and complete this project in the tight timeline, Day Construction leveraged its expertise and creativity. In an effort to make the most of the available work time, an innovative plan was devised to construct the building from each end, meeting at the center. This plan allowed the masonry walls to be constructed at the perimeter while the time-consuming work at the center core underground was being roughed in. Work was performed during the night shift to minimize disturbing the residential development and critical design issues were resolved onsite to keep the project on schedule.
