This remodel of an existing competitor’s store into a Verizon facility was Day Construction’s fifth project for Verizon Wireless. The project schedule was eight weeks while the store was to remain open and fully operational during construction.

To accommodate Verizon’s schedule and minimize disruption to the retail operation, Day Construction devised a plan to barricade 1/2 the store, completing the remodel in that section and opening it for business, then barricading and completing the last half. The work was performed on night shifts, starting at 10:00pm and completing construction and clean up by the store’s opening at 10:00am. The project was completed on schedule and the retail operation was not impacted during construction.
